A Second Life group of architects and designers recently used SL to enter an international architecture competition, and their entry was chosen out of 566 entries from 57 countries as winner of the overall Founder’s Award. It was part of the ‘Open Architecture Challenge’ to design a medical center for one of the poorest regions in Nepal, and the group developed a revolutionary new ‘Wikitecture’ platform to facilitate this level of global collaboration.
