Greetings SL iReporters.
We’ve launched an exciting new website called
iReport.com.

We’ve been working really hard on iReport.com. It’s a place for news, powered by you, the iReport community. Your photos, video and stories take center stage.

Janey Bracken, HeadBurro Antfarm, and Jim Sella are among the SL residents already contributing their stories to iReport.com. You can see many more here.

We invite to check out iReport.com today and begin sharing your news from the virtual world! We can’t wait to see your amazing stories.

It is unclear what is to be the role of iReport.com compared to cnn.com/secondlife. I suppose time will tell, as those things are being considered and decided right now.

I like telling people in world that they can look for the stories at cnn.com/secondlife, even though it takes them to: secondlife.blogs.cnn.com. iReport.com doesn’t say, World Wide news agency the same way CNN.com does.

I understand the un-vetted concept behind iReport and I also like the idea that a story can be tested and make it to be posted as well.

I vote for keeping both.

While I’m on here.. Tell us what’s going on with the in-world HUD. It’s always been too small and not able to be resized. It has much less than the whole story for many of the longer ones.

Are there any plans to try to saturate the SL news market with Kiosks? Can the kiosks be made to slide show stories? (second life stories)

Now your new site is up and running, here are a few things to occupy your time, after you clean up the fallen ceiling tiles. : )

~Jim.
