Linden Lab tried out a new feature today inworld — the press conference — that turned out to have more Lindens than reporters. James Linden. shown here in MMORPG Master mufti, was on hand to explain that in trying to improve the search utility, “I didn’t have the sense I was involved in a grand experiment” that would change the economy but that “if we think it’s damaging, we’ll be making changes” regarding issues critics have raised about classifieds. Residents are invited to write to feedback@lindenlab.com The release candidate with the new search features is available for testing here:http://secondlife.com/community/downloads-optional.php

Linden Lab introduced InfoHubs onto the mainland in 2006 to replace the obsolete Telehubs and to provide a entry point for new players onto the mainland. A.I.M. works to see that these un-managed InfoHubs are used for their intended purpose and not become mass chat zones and a massive misuse of sim resources.
