Lighthouse Learning Island. All K-12 educators are welcome!

Posted: 12:02 PM ET

Lighthouse Learning Island
Lighthouse Learning Island is a professional learning community sim owned by four K-12 school districts in southeastern Massachusetts. Our goal this year is bring our teachers into Second Life, mentor them as they become accustomed to the interface, and we have already started offering real-life professional development on topics of interest to them in Second Life. We hope, next year, to purchase several Teen Grid islands and send the teachers over to work with students. Pictured is Kathy Dryburgh, one of the participants in the project.

You can follow our process via this blog, join the group "K-12 Educators" in Second Life to learn about upcoming events, or visit the island.
